Protocol for membership in Ukrainian American men's Social Club:

  1. The name of the club, formerly known as the Men’s Social Club, is Ukrainian American Men’s Social Club or UAMSC. Membership  is attained by an existing member’s invitation and subsequent sponsorship. We should consider individuals that would be socially compatible with present club membership, and feel that he would add to the social activities of our club.
  2. Dues are payable in February and will be set annually at the February meeting, and since 2023 are $75,  payable by a new member regardless of which month he joins the club. Voluntary membership in the ‘inactive’ or ‘emeritus’ status (see item 6 below) pay no dues and have no voting privileges.

  3. Decisions on financial matters, including special assessments, will require a vote by a majority consisting of more than 50% of all active club members present at a meeting in person or by proxy provided to another member who is present in person (“Simple Majority”) for approval.

  4. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month (except for Holiday adjustments) at a chosen time and venue/location. No matters may be voted on at any Club meeting without a quorum, consisting of a Simple Majority.

  5. The club meeting in February is designated as our “Annual”- for election of the following club officers: President/Holova, Vice President/Misto-Holova, Treasurer/Skarbnyk, Secretary/Pysar,  Corresponding secretary, Website and Social Managers. The President, Vice President, Treasurer and Pysar are elected for two (2) year term limits. The other positions  are appointed by the newly elected board, and their term limits are the same. If Holova can’t perform his duties, Misto-Holova takes over until the next election, and if he is unable, the Board will appoint a new member. Any elected President or Vice President shall only serve a maximum of two terms; notwithstanding this provision, if a new President or Vice President cannot be elected, the then-current President or Vice President may remain in office until the new President or Vice President is elected.

  6. An active member must be able to attend annually at least four club meetings to maintain club membership (with exception of personal or family medical situations). If a member is unable to do so due to work/ health/other, he may choose to remain a member in the ‘inactive’ or  ‘emeritus’ status, or forfeit his membership by resigning.
