- The name of
the club, formerly known as the Men’s
Social Club, is Ukrainian American Men’s
Social Club or UAMSC. Membership is
attained by an existing member’s
invitation and subsequent sponsorship. We
should consider individuals that would be
socially
compatible with present club membership,
and feel that he would add to the social
activities of our club.
- Dues are
payable in February and will be set
annually at the February meeting, and
since 2023 are $75, payable by a new
member regardless of which month he joins
the club. Voluntary membership in the
‘inactive’ or ‘emeritus’ status (see item 6
below) pay no dues and have no voting
privileges.
- Decisions on
financial matters, including special
assessments, will require a vote
by a majority
consisting of more than 50% of all
active club members present at a
meeting in person or by proxy provided
to another member who is present in
person (“Simple Majority”) for
approval.
- Meetings
are held the first Tuesday of every month
(except for Holiday adjustments)
at a chosen time and venue/location. No
matters may be voted on at any
Club meeting without a quorum,
consisting of a Simple Majority.
- The club
meeting in February is designated as
our “Annual”- for election of the
following club officers:
President/Holova, Vice
President/Misto-Holova,
Treasurer/Skarbnyk,
Secretary/Pysar, Corresponding
secretary, Website and Social
Managers. The President, Vice
President, Treasurer and Pysar are
elected for two (2) year term
limits. The other positions
are appointed by the newly elected
board, and their term limits are the
same. If
Holova can’t perform his duties,
Misto-Holova takes over until the
next election, and if he is
unable, the Board will appoint a
new member. Any elected President
or Vice President shall only serve
a maximum of two terms;
notwithstanding this provision, if
a new President or Vice President
cannot be elected, the
then-current President or Vice
President may remain in office
until the new President or Vice
President is elected.
- An
active member must be able to
attend annually at least four
club meetings to maintain club
membership (with exception of
personal or family medical
situations). If a member is
unable to do so due to work/
health/other, he may choose to
remain a member in the
‘inactive’ or ‘emeritus’
status, or forfeit his
membership by resigning.
